“UN” COVER-UP CONCEALER from RMS

I splashed out on a clean green concealer from RMS last week.
10 years ago I just used an extra layer of foundation and hey presto imperfection gone! Those days are unfortunately over.
It get’s trickier as your skin matures, you can’t wear heavy stuff as it sits in the wrinkles and at the same time you need something substantial.
The RMS “un cover up” concealer has magical powers as it covers well without caking AND because it can be used as a light weight foundation as well. Perfect for me as I’ve run out of my Estelle & Thild foundation and the one from Ere Perez that I’m desperate to try is out of stock.

I apply it thinly on larger areas around the nose and forehead and It’s all I need.
RMS is such a great brand from a super cool lady  Ann Marie Swift, look her up!

Hello Monday!

Hello Monday! Time to re-set and start afresh. But first a quick glance of what happened last week.

I found myself close to Covent Garden just before lunch-time on Monday and I was starving and thirsty.I popped into vegan chain By Chloe.  You might remember I went a couple of months back and left feeling a bit unimpressed. I wanted to give them a second chance and ordered vegan Fish & Chips with mushy peas and a kombucha drink. The kombucha was GORGEOUS the fish and chips looked fantastic but was rather bland unfortunatly.

The salad-bar at newly opened Lebanese and Middle Eastern Foodhall Green Valley on Kensington High Street is so much more interesting! I’m  salivating as I’m thinking about all the mouth watering green choices! I normally pick and mix tabbouleh, broad bean dip, fattoush, artichoke salad and baba ghanoush. Yum. They also have a juice bar, butcher, patisserie, and a  roastery. Green Valley is not new it was established 1986, but it is new to my area in Kensington and I could not be happier about that!

I’m so tired in the mornings. School run and late nights have caught up with me, so I felt the need to get a concealer for under the eyes.. “Un” cover-up from RMS . Clean and green and easy to apply.

I had a positivity salad with kale and artichoke hearts with a harissa dressing from Yeotown I Marylebone. So good! Followed by a quick mediation in an egg downstairs.

Beyond Bread is the bakery for gluten-free breads in London! Simply the BEST!

I recorded a video of how to make these damn delicious Zucchini Fritters. Should be on YouTube tomorrow.

Lunch on Saturday with the boys was gluten-free pizzas from Zia Lucia. Can you spot which one was mine? 🙂

Beauty Buys in August

20130918161434(1)

I managed to pack my own bag, the kids bags and made them dinner in only 20 minutes as we set off to Stockholm this summer.
This is a record for me!
Needless to say there were necessary items that did not come with us, like body wash and shampoo, hence a mad rush for new products as soon as we landed.

I bought Bjork and Berries gorgeously scented Never Spring body wash .
Bjork and Berries describe themselves as an eco luxury beauty brand derived by Swedish nature and traditions.
The body wash contains no sulphates but a “mild preservatives”. You can get this brand in the UK and online.

I also got Estelle and Thilde shampoo and conditioner, another Swedish brand.
I find this shampoo keeps my hair clean for one day longer than other shampoos, it doesn’t lather greatly but certainly cleans well.
The conditioner first feels heavy when you put it in your hand but when you apply it to the hair it sort of disappears and it’s not heavy at all.

I can’t live without lipstick.
If I could only chose one product to use for the rest of my life it would be a lipstick and I’m particularly impressed with Ilia’s lipstick In My Room.
This is a repeat buy for me, I pray it’s never discontinued!
It’s the perfect nude.

I’m all for extra sparkle to my skin when going out and Living Luminizer by RMS does the trick.
It’s really subtle and sheer and very easy to use.
I apply it to my cheeks, bridge of the nose and just above the eye brows.
