I’m sitting here painting my nails, anything to distract me from studying for my nutrition test I have on Tuesday. I might vaccum next, oh way do I leave everything to last minute!
I bought this colour, Blue Majorelle by Yves Saint Laurent last week.
I have more blue nail polish, than any other colour, that can’t be normal.
I have to get a yellow next time.
Blue Majorelle is a reference to Yves Saint Laurent’s garden in Marrakech, Morocco.
I say Yves Saint Laurent, but It was actually the artist Jacques Majorelle who built the garden in the 1920′s and Yves and his partner Pierre Berge bought it and restored it in the 1970′s.
Anyway, the garden walls, the fountain and the house is painted this intense blue colour that Majorelle actually trademarked Majorelle Blue, hence the name of this nail polish.
YSL have changed their packaging, I like the bottle, it looks more modern, but I’m not super happy with the brush.
It’s larger and flatter than before and I found it really hard to paint with, as you can probably see.
Not sure I will use this colour much in the summer, but with all the dark autumn clothes, I think it will look great!
