I’m so happy I finally got hold of these New Balance trainers!

It was love at first sight but I didn’t buy them, and when I was finally ready to make a purchase I realised that a lot of people had the same idea..
.
I was stalking London pavements in arctic/rainy conditions for four hours to find a pair in my size! (I was actually ready to get them in ANY size at one point).

(No, they are not for excercise)

Happy Monday everyone!

I’m banned from all unnecessary shopping for a while, but I just had to make a quick stop at H&M’s newly launched brand & Other Stories, If not just to show some swedish patriotism..

I like the shop (on Regent Street in London) its airy and light (white) and the clothes are not squashed together like at H&M and Cos, you can actually see what’s on the hangers.
I found a few t-shirts I liked and a structured top that I would have bought if the colour had not been totally wrong on me.

But it was definitely the bags, shoes and accessories that caught my attention (did not have time to check out the make-up or the lotions and potions) Some of the clutches and shoppers are great and the shoes are really cool.

I came away with a nice snake patterned belt and a black leather Alice band, none of the items are on the website.
The belt is in a size extra small and it’s BIG, so not sure if it’s been labelled wrong and it doesn’t fit easily through the loop, but the hairband is flawless. (I guess I should have tried the belt properly in the shop)

In comparison to H&M and Cos, & Other Stories is more cool and fun and I can’t tell you how happy it makes me that the hangers have at least 2 centimeters between them. (Hopefully this is not because they are still awaiting stock)!

I had heard rumors it’ was suppose to be expensive, It’s not, my two leather items came to £45.

BRRRRRRR!!!
How happy am I that I bought this warm, cosy knitted hat!
I’ve been asked several times if I knitted it myself, eer… NO!
I was the worst knitter in my class, worse than the boys, according to my smelly knitting teacher back in the days…
Oh yes, we had knitting classes in Sweden during the 70′s. I guess it was for survival purposes.

I wish I could take credit for making it myself and give the finger to whatever her name was, but it’s from GREVI MODE, a company that’s been producing hats in Florence since 1875.

This is my wish list for january. Any of these items would really lift my mood :)
The good thing with places like Pinterest (where you’ll find my other wants from healthy avocado recipies, shoes and bags to laundry rooms… ) is that when you pin it up it’s almost as if you are actually already owning it.

Hi friends,
Last day of 2012, it’s been quite a challenging year for me, I’m hoping 2013 will be a hell of a lot easier.
Out with the old in with the new!
A new haircut is a good way to start afresh.
I’m completely obsessed with Karen Elson’s hair in the January edition of UK Vogue by Hair-God Sam McKnight (photographed by Patrick Demarchelier).
So new, so Ziggy, so 2013!
Unfortunately I’m way to round/old/blond to pull it off, will have to settle for a new handbag instead.

Wishing you all an amazing 2013!

My new laptop bag.
No, it’s not really made for laptops, actually it’s not even padded, but it’s spacious enough to fit my laptop…

The first episode of The Killing 3 is on at 9pm on BBC4 here in the UK tonight!!
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lund is wearing a new knitted jumper in the promo, but if she get’s board of that one and it’s getting a bit nippy over there in Copenhagen I think she should invest in either of the above jumpers. The white one is from Isabel Marant and the orange from J.Crew.

Apparently, yesterday was the day that the seasonal stress should have kicked in.
I’m fairly OK. My little one made sure we got enough baubles for at least a couple of trees after a trip to Liberty’s amazing X-mas department and my tickets to Stockholm are booked.
A Post Office survey found that the most stressful thing is choosing gifts for loved ones. I’m not on top of that yet..
But if I were to follow the trend of self-gifting (I hadn’t heard of it either) I would defiantly be wrapping up this gorgeous 31 Minute bag from Phillip Lim and for my birthday in February the new red clutch from Alexander McQueen.
