I love this whole coconut bonanza that’s happening at the moment, since I absolutely adore anything coconutty!
Home made coconut milk tastes so much nicer than the stuff you get in the shop and you side step any BPA or guar gum.
It’s also incredibly easy to make!
The fat in the coconut milk contains lauric acid which has anti microbial and anti bacterial properties.
It also contains minerals like iron, calcium, potassium and zinc and vitamin C and E.
And if that was not enough coconut oil is made up of medium triglycerides and is metabolised differently to other fats.
Instead of depositing the fat in the body’s fat cells coconut oil is burned like carbohydrates for energy.
– 1 cup desiccated coconut
– 2 cups warm water
