Quick and Healthy Chocolate Treat

This quick and easy chocolate recipe is a godsend when I’m beyond desperate for chocolate.
Because it’s so incredibly quick to make and I always have all the ingredients at home anyway, I don’t hit the corner shop for something containing god-knows-what.

Within 10 minutes you will be able to feast on crunchy chocolaty treats that will defiantly keep you satisfied AND improve your health as well 🙂

Ingredients:
1/3 Cup Raw coconut Oil (excellent for liver protection, you can read more HERE)
1 tablespoon of Raw cacao powder (full of antioxidants, Magnesium and Iron)
Stevia or Coconut Nectar to taste (I use 2 teaspoons of coconut nectar)
Pinch of Himalayan Crystal salt

This is the base the rest is optional or just add the super foods you have lurking in your cupboard.

2 Tablespoons of Quinoa Pops (I always have these at home since my kids have them for breakfast)
1 Teaspoon of Maca Powder (perfect for balancing your hormones, and let’s not beat around the bush, my chocolate craving appears once a month)
1 teaspoon of Nutritional Yeast (packed with B vitamins and also brings an added taste level)

Directions:
Melt the coconut oil, add all the remaining ingredients, Pour into an ice tray and leave in the freezer for about 7 minutes.
